The Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) gadgets to Area ‘P’ Police Command to enhance efficient policing in the area.
The Executive Chairman, Dr Lukmon Agbaje, said during the donation on Tuesday that his administration remains committed to strengthening security operations in the area.
Agbaje, represented by Mr Babatunde Ajose, Chief of Staff, said the ICT equipment donation is essential for protecting lives and property.
“The donated items include HP computer systems, UPS units, an HP printer, and a high-capacity Sharp photocopier.
“It also includes a generating set to support uninterrupted operations at the command headquarters.
“This initiative supports law enforcement efforts to safeguard lives and property within Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA,” he said.
Agbaje said providing modern technological tools will enhance the protection of lives and property.
He said the administration aims to improve police operational efficiency and strengthen capacity to combat crime and maintain law and order.
“The council is committed to promoting digital policing and strengthening collaboration with security agencies,” he added.
Mr Olalekan Afolayan, Head of the ICT Unit, said the chairman remains committed to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.
Afolayan said the donation will help ensure a safer environment for residents.
ACP Olusegun Fadeyi, the Area Commander, appreciated the chairman for the gesture.
Fadeyi said the equipment will significantly improve the command’s administrative capacity.
He assured residents of continued dedication to protecting lives and property and strengthening security efforts.
