The Lagos State Command and Control Centre (LSCCC) has intensified collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to enhance road safety and emergency response coordination across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos and signed by Mrs Yemisi Sule, Head of Public Affairs at LSCCC.
According to the statement, LSCCC General Manager, Mr Femi Giwa, made the remark when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the FRSC Sector Commander.
Giwa commended the FRSC for its professionalism and unwavering commitment to road safety enforcement, traffic regulation, and crash response management throughout Lagos State.
He emphasized that LSCCC, as the state’s central emergency coordination hub, remains dedicated to improving real-time incident monitoring and inter-agency communication.
Giwa highlighted ongoing technological initiatives, including the Local Emergency Response and Management System (LERMS I and II), designed to strengthen decentralized emergency reporting and improve coordinated deployment of resources.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, welcomed the visit and underscored the critical importance of synergy among safety agencies.
Hamzat noted that enhanced collaboration would help safeguard lives, protect property, and increase public confidence in emergency service delivery.
Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to intelligence sharing, joint response strategies, and effective traffic incident management.
They also resolved to integrate designated FRSC personnel into the LSCCC to improve monitoring capabilities and strengthen multi-agency emergency coordination.
