QNET pledges stronger compliance & consumer protection in 2026

QNET, a direct-selling wellness company, has collaborated with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Nigeria Police, and other agencies to ensure compliance and protect consumers from brand misuse and fraud.

The company’s Deputy Regional General Manager, Mr Cherif Abdoulaye, disclosed this on Thursday during a media webinar titled “Energize Everyday” on setting the narrative for the year.

Abdoulaye said QNET would continue to prioritize transparency, innovation, and responsible entrepreneurship in 2026 while addressing public misconceptions about its operations.

“QNET operates within regulatory frameworks and we have zero tolerance for brand misuse, fake job offers, or fraudulent activities,” he said.

He explained that the firm’s collaboration with law enforcement agencies aims to protect consumers and tackle individuals using the company’s name to commit fraud.

The General Manager of QNET Nigeria, Mr Ayokunmi Solesi, said the company would focus on three key pillars in 2026: entrepreneurship, compliance and consumer protection, and product innovation.

Solesi said QNET had shifted its communication strategy from reacting to controversies to proactively providing clarity and facts.

“Narratives don’t shape themselves; they are shaped by clarity, facts, and consistent engagement,” he said.

He noted that the company would intensify public education on the distinction between direct selling and Ponzi schemes, adding that QNET is nothing close to a Ponzi scheme organization.

“We believe ethical direct selling creates economic opportunity, and when it is done transparently and responsibly, it empowers individuals to build skills and participate meaningfully in the economy.

“We are working closely with the likes of EFCC and the Police to combat wrong narratives and fight those currently using our name to commit fraudulent activities,” he said.

Solesi said Nigeria remains a strategic market for QNET in Africa, and the company would deepen engagement with regulators and strengthen consumer awareness initiatives.

He clarified that QNET does not offer employment or financial handouts but provides opportunities for individuals to build independent businesses through direct selling.

Solesi added that the company remains tax-compliant and is expanding partnerships with reputable retail outlets, including MedPlus, to improve product accessibility and transparency.

In his remarks, QNET Regional Legal Counsel, Mr Kwasi Danso, said the company had established a robust compliance structure to monitor distributor activities and ensure adherence to its policies.

He said compliance officers regularly audit distributors operating under the company’s office system to prevent violations.

“We have compliance officers who go around and audit distributors to ensure they are also compliant,” he said.

Danso said QNET was working closely with the EFCC, police, and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to address fraud and enforcement issues.

“We are collaborating strongly with EFCC, the police, and NAPTIP to ensure that when these issues come to our attention, we have the appropriate authorities to liaise with,” he said.

He added that the company had a Network Integrity Department to handle consumer complaints and resolve disputes promptly.

According to him, QNET had consistently sanctioned distributors who violated its policies and would expand monitoring efforts in 2026.

He stated that the company had prosecuted about 70 individuals who had violated its policies.

Public Relations Manager Mr Francis Kojo said proactive engagement with regulators, the media, and enforcement agencies would remain central to building public trust through transparency and promoting ethical direct selling in Nigeria.
