Microsoft on Friday underscored its commitment to empowering Nigerians and journalists with cutting-edge technology by introducing Copilot, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered tool designed to enhance productivity and innovation.
Its Country Director, Ms Olatomiwa Williams, at a workshop for journalists, said Microsoft aims to empower Nigerians to harness the power of AI to drive positive change by prioritising accessibility, innovation, and collaboration.
Williams emphasised the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of work and daily life, highlighting the increasing integration of AI into various aspects of society, from social media algorithms to personalised advertising.
She said that Copilot, a central component of Microsoft’s AI strategy, is embedded within a range of productivity and business solutions.
According to her, the company aims to make this powerful tool accessible to individuals and organisations across Nigeria.
Williams said this would enable individuals and organisations to leverage AI’s capabilities to streamline workflows and achieve greater efficiency.
