Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago has officially signed into law a bill for the creation of the State Agency for Green Initiatives and Other Related Matters.
The bill was signed at the State Liaison Office in Abuja, in a bid to advance the state’s environmental and sustainable development goals.
The newly established agency will oversee and coordinate the state’s green initiatives, aligning with the administration’s broader environmental agenda.
Speaking on the significance of the bill, Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General Barr. Nasir Mu’azu emphasized that the agency will serve as a key driver in harnessing the State’s green policies and programs.
The signing ceremony was attended by top government officials, including the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Barr. Abdulmalik Sarkindaji.
