Ambassador Bernard Oshi of Ben-10 Equipment announced that Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State recently visited China to forge partnerships aimed at transforming the state’s agricultural sector.
The visit, facilitated by Oshi and Xu Xianrui, Managing Director of Works Nigeria Company Limited, led to collaborations with leading Chinese agricultural equipment manufacturers.
Oshi emphasized that the governor’s initiative aims to empower farmers and ensure food security across Katsina State.
The partnership will bring in advanced agricultural machinery, including 400 farming tractors and 4,000 agricultural water pumps, to boost productivity and reduce labor-intensive practices.
During the visit, the delegation explored various manufacturing giants such as Shandong Min Sheng Group and LOVOL, along with companies specializing in solar panels and agricultural implements.
The equipment to be procured includes power tillers, mini tractors, rice planters, and more, all designed to increase farming efficiency and income for the state’s farmers.
Oshi highlighted that these efforts are also intended to curb banditry and terrorism by engaging the youth in productive employment. Governor Radda’s focus on agriculture is expected to positively impact Katsina’s economy and security, with Oshi quoting the governor as saying, “I am just getting started.”
