Two adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have been reported missing, even as the commission declares the House of Assembly by-election in Bakura local government of Zamfara state, inconclusive.
The by-election was declared inconclusive due to over-voting and other alleged malpractices in some polling units.
The returning officer of the by-election, Professor Ibrahim Magawata who addressed newsmen in the early hours of Sunday, said the election results of some polling units in Bakura ward had been cancelled.
According to Magawata, those cancelled poling units have a total number of 11,429 votes.
In the declared results, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu scored the total number of 18,645 votes, while the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Alhaji Bello Gamji scored 16,464 votes so far in the by-election conducted on Saturday.
It was gathered that a new date would be announced to conclude the by-election in the state.
