Men of the intelligence service, in collaboration with those of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Monday evening, arrested the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reforms Task Force, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina, in one of the towns Niger Republic.
PRNigeria reports that top intelligence officer disclosed that the arrest was facilitated by the an agreement between the two neighbouring countries.
Recall that Maina is facing a 12-count charge for money laundering by the Commission, alleged that he laundered money to the tune of about N2 billion, part of which he used to acquire landed properties in Abuja.
However, Maina after being granted bail by the trial court, is reported to have jumped bail since the September 29, 2020, against which Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, ordered his surety, Senator Ali Ndume to be remanded.
Ndume has since been granted bail by the same court
