The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a contempt charge against the Director General of, the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, over his alleged refusal to obey court orders.

“Henceforth, any further reference to IPOB as a terrorist organization will be met and countervailed with muscular litigation and other lawful measures, regardless of who the entity is.
He said the decision to forward all the court orders was in response to the statement credited to the AGF that he was not aware of Kanu’s case and that his fate would be resolved by the court.
In a ruling on Kanu’s request, Justice Nyako said that she found as a fact, that Kanu jumped the bail earlier granted him, and escaped out of the country.
“We will not participate in the assassination of justice in a Nigerian court over the head of Nnamdi Kanu. We will refuse to be part of the programmed injustice,” he said.
A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, adjourned a N50 billion suit filed by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu against the Federal Government until April 27 for further mention.
