The Zamfara State Government has provided e-governance infrastructure to enhance workers’ service delivery.
This was stated in a press release by Suleman Tudu, Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Zamfara Government, on Tuesday in Gusau.
The Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, made the announcement while inspecting the final phase of the upgraded 30-year-old Jibrin Bala (JB) Yakubu Secretariat complex in Gusau.
Nakwada said the renovated secretariat, fitted with solar-powered systems and internet (Wi-Fi) infrastructure, will enable the state to deliver services through fast, efficient, and effective e-governance.
He noted that the final phase of the three-phase secretariat project has been completed and would soon be put into use according to the state government’s plan.
“The renovation, undertaken by Sources Plus Nigeria Limited, is now 100 percent complete. Furniture is currently being installed in Phase III of the complex, which is expected to be occupied within the coming weeks,” Nakwada said.
He expressed confidence in the timeline while urging the contractor to address minor observations to ensure that all standards are met.
It was recalled that Governor Dauda Lawal had previously inaugurated the first and second phases of the project, which are now fully operational with solar power and Wi-Fi connectivity, enhancing service delivery to residents.
The 30-year-old secretariat complex had long gone without renovation, despite hosting major state government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
The government said the modern office infrastructure will provide workers with a conducive environment to optimist productivity and improve service delivery.
