Insurance companies are showing strong support for the upcoming fourth edition of the Insurance Meets Tech (IMT 4.0) conference. This event is focused on how insurance, technology, and culture can work together. It aims to build stronger partnerships between insurance companies and tech firms.
With the theme “Innovating for the New Trybe,” IMT 4.0 will explore how technology can create new insurance models that appeal to today’s generation—especially Millennials and Gen Z.
Well-known companies like SanlamAllianz, Cornerstone, emPLE, Enterprise Life, Leadway, and Lasaco are backing the event. Their support shows that IMT 4.0 is becoming a key platform for sharing ideas that will help the insurance industry grow.
Leadway Assurance, Enterprise Life, Cube Cover, and emPLE have signed up as Gold Sponsors. SanlamAllianz is the Official Insurer for the event.
Cornerstone Insurance is the Innovation Partner, while Lasaco Assurance is supporting the event as a Bronze Sponsor. Two important industry groups—the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN)—are also partnering with the event.
Odion Aleobua, the organiser of the IMT Conferences, said that the strong support from top sponsors and partners shows the industry’s shared goal of making insurance more modern, digital, and relevant to people’s lives. He believes this year’s event will have the biggest impact yet.
A key part of the event will be a special session led by Nigeria’s Insurance Commissioner, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin. This session, titled “NIIRA: A New Era Beckons,” will discuss the new Insurtech Guidelines from NAICOM and what they mean for the future of insurance in Nigeria.
Besides the business sessions, there will also be cultural and lifestyle events under the segment called IMT Redefined. These will mix music (especially Afrobeats), culture, and modern lifestyle to show how insurance can protect people’s goals, businesses, and daily lives. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
