The Adamawa state candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on party faithful to unite and move the party towards its success in the 2023 general elections.
Binani had won the party’s primaries against former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu who approached the high court to challenge her victory and the court declared Ribadu as the winner of the primary.
She then went to the Appeal Court which on Thursday, 24th November 2022, set aside the verdict of the High Court and declared her as authentic APC guber candidate.
In asserting her victory propelled by her zeal for unity, Binani on Saturday, visited the state party office in Yola amidst cheering crowds where she enjoined all party members to bury their differences and unite for party’s sake.
She appealed to party officials, local government party chairmen, elders, critical stakeholders, members of the party, candidates for the various elective positions, including senators, members of the House of Representatives, and members of the state assembly to unite in other to emerge victorious in the 2023 gubernatorial election.
“Despite the recent happenings within our party, I urge us all to bury our differences and forge ahead as a family to ensure the victory of all APC candidates from the presidential elections to that of the House of Assembly.
“We should understand the basis of our differences and resolve them most democratically and transparently as internal affairs of our party. With that, I believe we shall emerge stronger,” she said
Describing her victory as one for democracy and for all APC members, Binani emphasized her commitment to the party.
According to her, she had since extended a hand of fellowship to Ribadu, who she said is her elder brother, to join hands with her to ensure that the APC emerged victorious in all elections in Adamawa.
Binani implored party faithful to ensure all APC candidates win all elections.
