ASHENEWS reports that the Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello has expressed satisfaction with the use of the newly introduced Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the ongoing 2023 general elections.
Bello stated this on Saturday shortly after he cast his vote at the Alkali Mustapha polling unit in his hometown, Kontagora.
Bello, who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Amina Abubakar Bello said that the use of the new technology has simplified the voting process.
“The BVAS is nothing to worry about. With regards to ease of casting your votes, the entire process apart from waiting in the queue is less than two-three minutes and I think that is fine.
“I am highly impressed with the technology, I thought it would be a complicated exercise, but it appears to be a very simple exercise and straightforward”, he said.
On the turnout of voters in the state, Bello expressed satisfaction with the numbers, stating that he has received information that the turnout has been massive across many local government areas of the state.
He enjoined voters to remain law-abiding throughout the entire election process.
