A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has restored Phillip Shuaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State.
Justice James Omotoso, on Wednesday, set aside Shaibu’s impeachment by the State House of Assembly.
Justice Omotoso, in his judgement held that Shuaibu’s impeachment and subsequent removal from office violated the provisions of the law.

Having declared the removal as unlawful, Justice Omotoso subsequently ordered his reinstatement as deputy governor of the state.
Besides, the court ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to restore his security details as deputy governor.
