The USAID-IHP has recognized the contributions of Journalists for Public Health and Development Initiative (J4PD) Bauchi in reporting issues around Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child health plus Nutrition and Malaria.
The State Director, Dr. Alhassan Siaka said for the last year J4PD has given visibility to the activities of IHP and has increased awareness around health.
He was speaking at a partners coordination meeting held in Bauchi.
Siaka noted that the USAID-IHP acknowledge the support it received through J4PD which is why it decided to issue the certificate of recognition.
The USAID-IHP also recognized some state partners, its staff, and members of the community who excelled in their various assignments.
The Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, D. Rilwanu Mohammed said J4PD is a reliable media partner as they have continued to report salient issues in the health sector.
“Members of this group have given us accurate coverage during outbreaks as well as venture into areas some journalists are not interested in.
“The State is proud of this recognition and urges you to do more,”
The partner’s coordination meeting meets quarterly to discuss issues and the health sector.
