The management of the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo has commended the staff of the hospital for their efforts at promoting the vision of the hospital through efficient service delivery.
This is even as the management of the hospital presented commendation awards to some outstanding staff of the hospital for their efficient service delivery.
This, the management said was part of its motivational programmes to encourage members of staff in order to live up to their expectations while discharging their various duties.
The Accident and Emergency unit received the award for the most outstanding service centre while the Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) clinic received the award for the best-organized clinic in the hospital.
The Environmental Unit of the hospital also received award of excellence for keeping the hospital environment clean always while a Youth Corper serving at Histopathology department of the hospital, Miss Ifeoluwa Ajayi also received award as the most innovative and impactful youth corper of the hospital.

Speaking at the award presentation, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan said the management will continue to appreciate every diligent staff irrespective of their posts, status and cadres.
He added that the hospital will also continue to encourage different departments that perform better and fulfill the vision of the state government under the leadership of Governor, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to deliver quality health care to the people.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, the Head of Accident and Emergency Unit, Dr. Ayodeji Ogungbemi who described the award as a call to do more, appreciated the management for counting them worthy.
He said they will not relent in supporting the management of the hospital in providing qualitative healthcare services in line with Global practices.
The award Program took place during the presentation of April’s edition of Ground Round.
Titled “Employees Compensation Act 2010: Overview and application” which was presented by Head of Operations, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Mrs.Folasade Owolabi. In attendance were The Management Team, Heads of Departments and Units, and many members of staff.
