ASHENEWS reports that the Nigerian government on Thursday signed an agreement to receive a €16.9 million grant from the German government.
This funding is for the Reproductive Health and Pandemic Resilience Project.
Signing the agreement on behalf of the Nigerian government, the Minister of state, budget, and National Planning, Clem Ikanade Agba, said that the project targets improved livelihood for women and girls in the country.
In a series of tweets posted shortly after the event on Thursday, Agba said that the project is in line with the Nigeria National Development Plan 2021-2025 which targets improved livelihood and good health for all Nigerians.
“The German Government, through the Project, will support our efforts in the health sector by improving the quality of life of girls, women &, by extension, the generality of the Nigerian population.
“the implementation of the project will further deepen and promote effective partnerships between Nigeria and Germany,” his tweets read.
