A doctor from Imo State, Dr. Chijioke Kaduru, has said that his love and passion for helping people is what drives him to build and improve health centres across the state.
Dr. Kaduru spoke to his supporters in Obiangwu, in the Ngor Okpala area of Imo State, over the weekend. He said he would keep supporting healthcare projects, even using his own money.
He said he is dedicated to improving healthcare in the state because without proper health services, spending money on treatment becomes a waste.
Dr. Kaduru said the new primary healthcare centre he built in Obiangwu will soon be handed over to the Imo State Government. He said the centre will help solve health problems for people in the area.
He explained that his work in healthcare, especially in building primary health centres, was inspired by the efforts of Governor Hope Uzodimma to improve healthcare in Imo to global standards. Kaduru promised to continue supporting the governor’s vision.
Dr. Kaduru also said he wants to bring the same kind of healthcare projects to other parts of Ngor Okpala and the eight remaining local government areas in the zone. He said this is his way of helping the government provide affordable and lasting healthcare for everyone.
The doctor, who is from Ngor Okpala and is a public health expert, said he is also committed to helping communities, supporting young people, and caring for the poor. He said this has made many people in the Owerri zone like and support him.
He said the modern health centre he built in his hometown, Obiangwu Autonomous Community, is finished and will soon be given to the state government.
Dr. Kaduru said, “Everyone knows I care deeply about the health sector. Without good health, people spend all their time and money just trying to survive. I believe if health and education are working well, most problems will be solved.”
He added, “We’ve shown what a proper health centre should look like. I will keep supporting health projects for our people, whether or not I become the Senator for Owerri Zone. We will also keep empowering people.”
Dr. Kaduru, who is running for Senate in Imo East, praised Governor Uzodimma’s health policies, including his award-winning health insurance program and improvements to primary healthcare. He said these are steps in the right direction.
He said he will continue to support not just healthcare, but all areas of development in Imo State. He promised to keep standing with Governor Uzodimma to improve people’s lives.
He encouraged young people to live in peace and avoid anything that could harm the state’s progress. “Let’s work together to build a better future for Imo,” he said.
