The Commissioner for Health, Umma K. Ahmed, has undertaken an oversight visit to supervise the ongoing renovation works at Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital and General Hospital, Sabo, in Kaduna State.
During the visit, the Commissioner, who was accompanied by Directors from the Ministry of Health and a representative from the Ministry of Housing, inspected the level of work done and assessed the quality and pace of the ongoing renovations.
She made several observations and urged the supervising ministry responsible for the project to ensure that all identified issues are promptly addressed to guarantee timely completion and adherence to standards.
Ahmed emphasized that the renovation exercise aligns with the vision and commitment of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, to strengthen the state’s healthcare delivery system. She reiterated that the administration remains resolute in ensuring that no health facility in the state is left behind in terms of infrastructure, equipment, and service quality.
The Commissioner further noted that the renovation of these facilities will enhance service delivery, improve patient comfort, and create a conducive working environment for healthcare providers.
She commended the contractors handling the projects for their efforts so far and encouraged them to sustain the momentum while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
