Tambuwal swears-in 23 permanent secretaries, 15 DGs [SEE LIST]

ASHENEWS reports that the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has sworn-in 23 new Permanent Secretaries and 15 Directors General into the state civil service.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House, Sokoto, where Tambuwal charged the new appointees to use their vast experience to uplift the state’s civil service.

“I task you to use this opportunity to promote the service by adhering to the rules and ethics of the profession for the overall development of the State,” he urged.

The governor noted that it was unprecendented in the history of civil service where 26 Permanent Secretaries and Directors General voluntarily resigned their appointments which created vacancies due to age or years of service.

“It was on this note that I made these appointments,” he further said.

Tambuwal  congratulated them for attaining the positions of Permanent Secretaries and Directors General.
