ASHENEWS reports that the Adamawa state Police Command has arrested 44 persons over Sunday’s looting of government warehouses in the state.
The state Police Command Spokesperson, SP Suleiman Ngoruje stated this in a statement issued on Sunday.
Ngoruje said that the suspects were arrested for stealing food and non-food items in the government warehouses.
He noted that the Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola has since deployed a tasks force team drawn from the Department of Operations, Mopol 14pmf, State CID, SRRT, Crack Squad, and Sister Security Agencies in line with the 24hrs curfew declared by the Adamawa state government.
He added that the police and other security personnel have commenced efforts at retrieving the items stolen.
