Following the scheduled FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers between Nigeria and Ghana on Tuesday, the Federal Government has approved that civil servants should close from work at 1pm.
A circular No. HCSF/3065/Vol. 1/146 addressed to all permanent secretaries of ministries and signed by the Permanent Secretary (Welfare Service Office), Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwve said the development is to mobilize support for the Nigerian Team.
It further requested Permanent Secretaries to give wide publicity to achieve the desired result.
“As you are aware, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be meeting the Black Stars of Ghana in continuation of the 2022 FIFA World-Cup Qualifier, Playoff. (Return Leg).
“There is a need to mobilise support for the Nigerian Team.
“Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1.00pm on Tuesday, 29h March, 2022.
“Permanent Secretaries are requested to give this circular wide publicity to achieve the desired result,” the circular reads.
