Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago has announced a review of the curfew hours in Minna metropolis.
The state government has adjusted the restricted period to run from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., effective from today.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, the decision followed an update from the State Security Committee.
The governor said that the adjustment was made in response to the current security situation and assured residents that his administration remains in close consultation with security agencies.
He noted that further adjustments could be made depending on the outcomes of ongoing security assessments.
The governor, who called on citizens to remain law-abiding, assured of his administration’s commitment to policies that enhance public safety and improve the well-being of all residents.
