ASHENEWS reports that the Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has mourned the death of his Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu.
The governor in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim said that he received the death with deep shock.
Bago described the late Governor as an astute politician who had the passion and determination to better the lot of his people.
He acknowledged the late Governor’s contributions to the progress of the ruling Party All Progressives Congress (APC) noting that the strong will demonstrated by the deceased to provide purposeful leadership to the people of Ondo State even while on sick bed is a virtue to reckon with.
“While also commiserating with the people of Ondo State as well as the family of the deceased, he urged them to accept the demise of the late Governor as the will of God.“
