Ahead of its national convention, which holds on Saturday (today), the All Progressives Congress, APC has finally disclosed its consensus candidate for the national chairman of the party.
Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule confirmed on ChannelsTV’s Politics Today programme on Friday that the party has chosen former governor, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as its consensus candidate for the position of party chairman.
“Consensus is one of the requirements. It is provided in our constitution and it is not against the Electoral Act,” Sule said while defending the move.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan had announced that the APC had agreed to produce consensus candidates with ‘Unity List’ to be put in place.
