An Information Technology Infrastructure Services Provider, Ouranos Technologies Limited has earmarked $2 million to strengthen its operations in West Africa.
The firm, in a statement by its managing director, Joseph Aransiola, also disclosed plans to build a technology lab in Lagos.
This facility, the firm said will serve as an incubation center for its products and solutions, as it targets the development of “innovative solutions in Data and Identity Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, as well as Connected devices.
“It will also focus on Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain application in the non-finance space, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), and Robotics Process Automation (RPA), amongst others,” the firm said.
The firm noted that it will be looking out to invest in firms focused on building such innovative and scalable solutions.
“Africa is poised for tremendous growth in the technology space, and Ouranos Lab will play a key role in driving that growth.
“We have a strong team with a lot of expertise in technology and innovation who are dedicated to building products and solutions that will define Africa’s future.
“We will focus on developing sustainable and scalable products to drive enterprise business growth,” the firm said.
Similarly, the firm disclosed plans to engage Nigerian entrepreneurs and their startups through the provision of funding, mentorship as well as access to new markets.
It stated that with such solutions, Africa will experience sustainability and growth in the technology industry in the country.
