100 people have benefitted from the Sallah largess of the Chairman of Suleja Local Government Council, Honorable Isyaku Bawa Naibi.
The beneficiaries who were drawn from the 10 wards in the local government area were given N10,000 each to assist them in celebrating the Sallah celebration.
According to the Chairman, while making the disbursement, the cash disbursement was a gesture to meet the needs of the needy and improve their mood during the Sallah celebration.
Na’ibi who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Abdulrahim Idris Salanke said that the gesture is part of the Chairman’s move to carry everyone along and improve the welfare of the people in the local government area.
“Assisting the needy is necessary because it is the teaching of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
“That is why in this administration, there is a department for Youths and Empowerment and the main purpose of the department is to create employment and provide assistance to the needy, especially on a period like Ramadan/Sallah packages”, Salanke said.
The Supervisory Councilor, Department of Youths and Empowerment, and Committee Chairman of the exercise, Honorable Ishaq Madallah said the current administration of Honorable Isyaku Bawa Naibi has a great blueprint for empowering women and youth in the local government adding that the Sallah disbursement is one among many in agenda.
