The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Damaturu Branch, on Thursday donated fire-fighting equipment to the Ultra-Modern Police Hospital, Damaturu, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The CBN delegation, led by Branch Manager Mr. Umar Wadata, included the Head of Banking, Amina Ningi, and other staff members.
During a courtesy visit to the hospital, Wadata stated that the donation of the fire caddy was aimed at strengthening emergency response capacity and enhancing the safety of lives and property.
In his remarks, the hospital’s Medical Director, Prof. Muhammed Tahir, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing the donation as both timely and highly impactful.
He commended the CBN for recognising the hospital’s vital role in community health and emergency services, noting that the support would significantly boost the facility’s service delivery.
Tahir also praised CBN patients at the hospital for their responsibility and cooperation.
“We are honoured to be selected for this support, and we assure you that the donation will be formally communicated to the Force Headquarters,” he added.
