The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, press centre in Zamfara has been set on fire by suspected arsonists.
The secretary of the council, Abubakar Ahmad told ASHENEWS in a telephone conversation Tuesday night that the fire gutted about four shops at the front of the press centre.
“Some politicians had problem among themselves which led to the crisis that got one of the shops, which we let out to some of them, to be set on fire.
“Three other shops cut up with fire also. But the Zamfara fire service has been able to put the fire off. The main building of the press centre was not affected,” he said.
