Sokoto state governor and one of the presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has stepped down for Atiku Abubakar.
Tambuwal announced his decision at the venue of the ongoing presidential primary of the party Saturday evening.
“Time has come for us to make sacrifices in the interest of our party and our nation. I have come to the conclusion that I have to step down,” he said.
