ASHENEWS reports that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has dismissed the petition of Mr Peter Obi and the Labour Party, holding that 25% is not required to win the presidential election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the apex court, FCT citizens do not enjoy special privileges ahead of other states.
Justice Inyang Okoro, who passed the judgement, said: “The decision of the lower court is unassailable and I see no difficulty in agreeing with it.”
