The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the Managing Director of the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending, (NIRSAL), Abbas Umar Masanawa.
Sources say that his arrest was in connection with the ongoing investigation of the embattled former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
A security source told Daily Trust that Masanawa, who was picked up in his Abuja residence, was fingered in the investigation of Emefiele as well as the other one ongoing at the headquarters of the CBN.
