TERRAFORMA, an international agricultural solutions company, has partnered with Niger Foods Security System and Logistics Company Limited to improve soil fertility, increase farmer productivity, and strengthen food security in Niger State and across Nigeria.
The agreement was reached in Minna during a high-level engagement where both parties highlighted the urgent need for innovative approaches to tackle soil degradation, which poses a major threat to agricultural output and rural livelihoods.
Niger Foods said it was ready to deploy advanced technologies across its operations, while TERRAFORMA pledged to provide technical expertise and long-term support.

A key highlight of the discussions was TERRAFORMA’s bioreactor technology, which produces living, local microbes to restore soil biodiversity, improve nutrient availability, and cut input costs for farmers. Officials said the solution would enable higher yields while encouraging sustainable farming practices.
TERRAFORMA representatives, Miles Sorel from Denver, Colorado, and Leye Akinrinade from Nigeria, toured several agricultural sites during their visit, including Kure Farm, Minna Airport, and Tagwai. The team noted that Niger State holds significant potential for scaling soil fertility solutions.
The collaboration is expected to reshape soil management practices, raise farmers’ incomes, and contribute to Nigeria’s food security drive through science-led, eco-friendly innovations.
