Philanthropist Dr. Bala Wunti donates 2,200 bags of fertilizer to Bauchi APC to boost food security, support farmers, and back Tinubu’s reforms.

Wunti, who was represented by Usman Yau at the handing-over ceremony on Sunday in Bauchi, said the gesture was inspired by the President’s reforms in the agricultural sector.

“The President’s reforms seek to strengthen food security, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth,” he said.

He explained that out of the 2,200 bags, 2,000 would be distributed to APC leadership across the 20 local government areas of the state, while 200 bags were allocated to the state party leadership.

According to him, the intervention reflects his commitment to empowering farmers to maximize yields and boost productivity during the current farming season.

“Supporting agriculture is critical to tackling poverty, reducing unemployment, and improving livelihoods. We have donated similar bags of fertilizer to other political parties and organizations to support the Federal Government’s food security reforms,” Wunti added.

He noted that the contribution would make a meaningful impact in enhancing food security in Bauchi State and beyond.

Bauchi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Hassan Tilde, commended the donor and described the support as timely and impactful.

He observed that access to fertiliser remained a major challenge for many farmers, particularly in rural areas, and stressed that the donation would go a long way in bridging the gap.

“This intervention will significantly improve agricultural production in the state. On behalf of the Bauchi APC, we sincerely thank Wunti for his generosity and commitment to the growth of our party and the development of our state,” Tilde said.

He further assured that the fertiliser would be distributed equitably across the state’s 20 LGAs to ensure transparency and reach genuine beneficiaries.
