The Federal Government has asked all Nigerians to work together to build the nation.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this request during a press conference held to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
He urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s government so it can succeed.
Idris shared some of the achievements of President Tinubu’s government over the last two years. He said these achievements show that Nigeria is moving in the right direction.
He also announced that starting from January 2026, Nigeria will begin using a new tax law that will make tax collection easier and help the country earn more money.
Speaking more about the government’s achievements, he said oil production has been rising steadily, and losses in the oil sector are now at their lowest level in 16 years.
He added that investment in deep water oil exploration has gone above $5 million, and income from solid minerals has doubled between 2023 and 2024.
He also said the Tinubu government includes everyone, and all parts of the country have benefited from its “Renewed Hope” program.
He encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and to believe in President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
He said the President understands the difficulties Nigerians are facing, but the hard work done over the last 28 months will soon bring positive results.
