The Bauchi State government yesterday held an Investment Roadshow in Kano State to showcase the wide range of business opportunities available in Bauchi.
The event served as a build-up to the Bauchi State Investment Summit, which will take place on October 9, 2025.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo, restated his commitment to creating a business-friendly environment where investments can thrive.
He highlighted efforts to bridge infrastructure gaps, especially in road networks, and assured that adequate security measures were being put in place across the state.
The governor noted that similar roadshows had already been held in Abuja, Lagos, and Enugu, and expressed gratitude for the strong turnout of Kano’s business leaders and entrepreneurs at the event.
He urged Kano’s business community to take advantage of the opportunities and invest in Bauchi.
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Shehu Wada Sagagi, praised Bauchi’s initiative to bring the Roadshow to Kano.
He said he was optimistic that collaboration between the two states would boost economic growth and strengthen partnerships.
According to him, Bauchi is rich in gold and other natural resources, while Kano remains the commercial hub of the region, noting that plans were underway to establish a gold market in Bauchi.
He stressed that the era of competition among states was over, and called for greater collaboration and synergy to unlock shared prosperity.
