The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said that the Ibom Air passenger involved in the recent clash with the airline’s cabin crew has now appeared before the agency.
This was confirmed by the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu.
Achimugu earlier wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that several departments of the NCAA — including Aviation Security, Operations, Licensing and Training Standards, Legal, and Consumer Protection — were working together to carry out a fair and transparent investigation.
He explained that the NCAA team had already met with Julie Edwards and other members of the Ibom Air cabin crew who were part of the incident involving passenger Comfort Emmanson.
Later that day, according to him, Comfort Emmanson also appeared before the Authority. She was accompanied by her lawyer.
“We have met with her. As we proceed, I will continue to provide updates,” Achimugu assured.
