The players of Wikki Tourist Football Club of Bauchi on Thursday cheated death after the tyre of a bus conveying them for the Day 11 of the Nigeria Professional League against Dakkada Football club of Oyo, caught fire.
Meanwhile, the Bauchi state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, has sympathized with the management and players of Wikki Tourist Football club over an accident involving the team bus early at Hawan Kibo in plateau state on Thursday.
In a sympathy message signed by SWAN Assistant secretary, Bala Bawaji and made available to ASHENEWS,, the association showed concern to what befell the club.
“We thank God that there was no loss of life,” the statement reads.
