Prof. Vadlya Tame of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has unveiled a new book titled “The 168 Laws of Loyalty,” aimed at reawakening the values of loyalty, integrity, and trust in leadership.
Tame, an academic and leadership mentor, announced this during a press briefing ahead of the book’s public presentation on Friday in Yola.
He described the publication as the result of years of observation, leadership experience, and personal reflection on what sustains trust, relationships, and national development.
“This book is more than a publication; it is the outcome of years of experience and reflection on what truly holds families, institutions, and nations together,” he said.
“In a world where betrayal and disloyalty have become normalized, The 168 Laws of Loyalty calls us back to the values that strengthen unity, discipline, and trust.”
Tame, who served 21 years in the military, said his experience taught him that loyalty and discipline are inseparable virtues forming the foundation of trust, courage, and enduring leadership.
“Loyalty without discipline loses its strength, and discipline without loyalty becomes mechanical. Together, they form the bedrock of stability,” he said.
According to him, the book’s 168 laws demonstrate that loyalty is not blind allegiance but a conscious commitment to truth, purpose, and people.
He explained that the work was written for leaders in political, spiritual, academic, and social spheres, as well as for young people preparing to serve the next generation.
Tame also quoted Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, who endorsed the book, describing loyalty and discipline as inseparable virtues that underpin trust and leadership.
He added that the public presentation would celebrate leadership, values, and renewal, with expected attendance by government officials and citizens committed to character-based leadership.
The author expressed gratitude to Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, the book launch committee, the media, and other supporters for their contributions toward the successful unveiling.
