The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) says it has concluded plans to host a national town-hall meeting aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement in the tertiary education sector.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by Dr. Mansur Liman, Special Assistant to the Chairman of the TETFund Board of Trustees.
According to Liman, the event, scheduled to hold on Wednesday in Abuja, will be chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Aminu Masari.
He said the meeting would provide an avenue for open dialogue between TETFund and key stakeholders in the education sector, while also highlighting the Fund’s achievements and impact on Nigeria’s tertiary education landscape.
“This initiative underscores TETFund’s commitment to accountability and inclusiveness in the discharge of its mandate,” Liman stated.
He added that the town-hall meeting would serve as a platform to bridge the gap between TETFund and the Nigerian public, ensuring that its interventions and objectives are better understood and appreciated nationwide.
Liman also revealed that the meeting would feature two keynote presentations from leading education experts.
Expected participants include policymakers, academics, civil society representatives, students, and members of the general public.
“The interactive sessions will allow participants to engage directly with TETFund leadership and share suggestions for improving the Fund’s operations and interventions,” he added.
