Niger governor and chairman, North Central Governors Forum, Abubakar Sani-Bello of Niger on Wednesday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of new Service Chiefs.
The governor in a congratulatory message by the spokesperson of the governor, Mary Noel-Berje and made available to ASHENEWS said the decision was noble in view of the level of insecurity the nation is facing.
“I enjoin you to evolve new strategies that will adequately address the security challenges that have bedeviled the region and the country as a whole.
“Niger as a boundary state to the North western region of the country, is suffering from banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling, among other criminal activities from which many lives have been lost and many people displaced from their ancestral homes.
“The situation if not curtailed, will breed unimaginable humanitarian concern, which will not be favourable to the society,” the governor said.
He urged the new service chiefs to deploy all that is needed to exceed the achievements of their predecessors for the benefits of all.
The governor also appreciated the immediate past service chiefs for putting in their best in tackling the security challenges in the Country and wish them well in their future undertakings.
