The Nigerian Senate has urged the nation’s army and Air Force to carry out sustained bombardment of terrorists’ enclaves in and around Kaduna state to restore peace and security.
This followed a motion by Senator Uba Sani who drew the attention of the Senate to the increased terrorists attacks in the state.
Recall that Monday evening, the terrorists bombed an Abuja-Kaduna bound train, killing scores and abducting many.
Recall also that barely 24 hours after the train incident, the terrorists Tuesday morning blocked the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, also kidnapping many.
The Senators, worried by the development said these series of attacks were indication that the terrorists were restrategising and therefore the need for full-scale war against them.
The senate observed a minute silence in honour of those who lost thier lives in these attacks.
