As the international flights resume in a Nigeria on September 5, the Federal government has barred some airlines from operating into the country.
Those denied approval include Air France, KLM, Etihad, Rwandair, Lufthansa, TAAG Angola airlines and others.
The airlines given licence to operate include: Middle-East, British Airways, Delta airlines, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Egyptair, Air Peace, Virgin Atlantic, Asky, Africa World Airways (AWA), Air Cote-d’Ivoire, Kenya Airways, Emirate, and Turkish airlines.
The Minister also appealed to the approved airlines to operate within covid-19 protocols to ensure a safe flight, he also added that passengers are required to come to the airport three hours before their flights take off, so that the necessary procedure such as testing and checking their temperatures can be done on time.
