The Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) on establishing a national framework for Agricultural Produce Traceability. The MoU also included establishing a framework for farmland monitoring, and deforestation free- supply chain verification. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has inaugurated a specialised cochlear implant and hearing-rehabilitation programme in Abuja. South Africa’s banana supply is dominated by Mozambican imports, which cost far less to produce than local bananas because of lower wages. In Mozambique, the minimum wage for farmworkers is R1 792/month, compared with R4 836,72 for South African farmworkers, based on 21 eight-hour days per month. Around the world, 1.6 billion children or two in three experience violent punishment by caregivers at home, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reports.
