Russia has rejected an order from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to halt the use of military force in Ukraine. “We cannot pay any heed to this ruling,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says, the Interfax news agency reports. “At the International Court of Justice there is the concept of agreement between the parties. “There can be no agreement here,” Peskov says. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has filed a new case against alleged internet fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, requesting his arrest warrant for carrying another cyber heist in jail. Nigeria’s Debt Management Office (DMO) has disclosed that the country’s public debt as at December, 2021 is N39.55 trillion. Patience Oniha, the Director-General of the DMO, said this on Thursday, while addressing newsmen on the country’s debt situation. Oniha said that the amount represented the total external and domestic debts of the Federal Government, 36 state governments as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Israeli forces have thwarted attempted arms and drugs smuggling over the Jordan-Israel border, Israel’s army said Thursday. In the joint operation, military and police forces prevented the smuggling of 37 weapons and drugs worth 2.5 million shekels ($770,000) from Jordan into Israeli territory, the army said in a statement. “The security forces conducted searches in the area where the smuggling took place,” the statement said. South Sudan said Thursday it has secured $120 million from the World Bank through its development arm International Development Association for infrastructure development.
