The NCDC Director-General, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. Ihekweazu noted that cholera had been exacerbated by poor access to clean water, open defecation, poor sanitation and hygiene. As Cholera continues to ravage some communities in the country, Springs Aid Foundation has embarked on a door-to-door campaign to stem the spread of the disease in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. A Nigerian Service (NCS) patrol vehicle on Monday lost control and killed five persons in Jibia local government area of Katsina state. A petrol tanker on Monday crushed five persons to death at Celica area on new Ife-Ibadan road, Egbeda local government area of Oyo state. The petroleum tanker lost control, rammed into a Micra car and plunged into a nearby ditch with the Micra car.
