Sokoto state executive council, presided over by governor Aminu Tambuwal has approved N437 million for procurement of 2,500 double deck beds and 5,000 mattresses. This was disclosed at a media briefing jointly addressed by the Attorney General and commissioner of Justice, Sulaiman Usman; his counterparts of the ministries of Health, Dr Ali Inname; Science and Technology, Dr Kulu Haruna and that of Higher Education, Prof Bashir Garba, shortly after the council meeting on Thursday. Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal has observed that for the country to effectively fight insecurity, more equipments, personnel and joint decisive efforts need to be made by security forces, to roll back the current deplorable security situation. Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal has said that government would soon reconstruct the affected parts of Sokoto Central market razed by inferno. He stated this while receiving the newly elected officials of State Chamber of  Commerce, Mines and Agriculture (SOCCIMA) and Sokoto Traders Association (STA).
