Three Nigerian teenagers, Nafisa Abdullahi, Rukaiya Fema, and Hadija Kalli, have been awarded fully-funded scholarships by the Atiku Abubakar Foundation (AAF) in recognition of their exceptional performance at the TeenEagle Global Finals.
This is contained in a letter dated August 5, 2025, signed by the Acting Secratey of the Foundation, Prof. Ahmadu Shehu and sighted by ASHENEWS.
The trio, who emerged as global champions in different categories of the prestigious international academic competition, were celebrated for their excellence and resilience.
The Foundation commended the students for their “remarkable success.”
Seventeen-year-old Nafisa Abdullahi particularly stood out for her mastery of the English language, critical thinking, and eloquence, which earned her top honors among participants from 69 countries.
“Your remarkable success is a testament not only to your academic excellence but also to the boundless potential of all children to achieve their dreams, regardless of gender, social class, or background,” the Foundation said.
As part of the reward, the students will receive fully-funded scholarships that will cover the rest of their secondary education as well as university studies at any institution of their choice.
The Foundation also reiterated its commitment to education and equity. “As the platform that coordinates the philanthropic activities of H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON—renowned for his commitment to quality education in Nigeria—the Foundation reaffirms its dedication to supporting education, particularly for girls and other vulnerable groups.”
