ASHENEWS reports that the Niger State governor Mohammed Umaru Bago says that his administration will procure agricultural equipment worth N500 billion.
The governor stated this during the presentation of land development and preparation equipment at the Brains and Hammers Rice City, Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi Farm, Chakwa Community in the Wushishi Local Government Area of the State.
He said that his administration will leverage Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements to realize the target of the Niger State Agricultural Revolution in line with President Tinubu’s agenda for agricultural development and food security.
To actualize this, he said that his administration would also ensure that the state’s arable land is protected from encroachment.
He further said that the state government will commence the disbursement of N250,000 each to youth and women to facilitate their farming activities.
