The Sokoto Governorship Election Petition Tribunal says it will deliver judgement in the PDP’s case against Governor Ahmed Aliyu on September 30, 2023.
This is contained in a notice by the Secretary of the tribunal, Mr. Sunday Martins, who confirmed that the judgement in the case marked EPT/SK/GOV/01/2023 will be delivered on Saturday at 9 a.m.
“Take notice that Petition No. EPT/SK/GOV/01/2023 will be coming up on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. for judgement.
“Counsel are advised to inform their clients that supporters would not be allowed into the court premises as movement would be highly restricted by the security agencies,” the notice read.
ASHENEWS recalls that the tribunal chairman, Justice Haruna Mshelia had, in August, reserved judgement on the petition filed by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sa’idu Umar against governor Aliyu and his deputy, Idris Gobir.
He had announced that the judgement date would be communicated to the parties in September.
